Topic: “How My Positive Outlook Benefits My Community”
Eligibility: Students under the age of 18 as of December 31, 2011 and have not graduated from high school or its equivalent. Contest is opened to all students: public, private, parochial, and home schooled.
Deadline: Please contact your local sponsoring club.
The deadline for Clubs to submit their winning entry to the District Essay Chair is February 28, 2012.
Club Winner receives, at the discretion of the club, monetary awards of up to $500 and an official medallion.
District Winner receives a $2,500 scholarship and a plaque.
International Winner receives the following Scholarship: First Place - $6,000, Second Place - $3,750, and Third Place - $2,250. Winners will be announced in early May 2012.
